Miramar Beach Resort Goa - Miramar Beach Goa

Miramar Beach is the nearest beach from the capital of the Goa, Panaji. The Miramar beach Goa is just a km away from Dona Paula. Miramar lies adjoining the estuary of the river Mandovi as it opens into the Arabian sea.

You can explore few make-shift shops that are present on the Miramar Beach. Men, Women, and Children roam about with Colored Stones, Rings, Earrings made of Colored Shells etc and try to get their stuff sold. You can buy few of them. However, you have to settle for the price as these are sold at a cost higher than what they should be. So, you can bargain

sometimes. Although the quality of such stuff is not good, but if you fancy them, you can get one or 2 for yourself. Shops on the Miramar Beach are of different types. You will also find many local eateries where you can have local cuisine.

Miramar beach is located a mere 2 kms from the heart of Panjim the capital city of Goa. 'Miramar' in Portuguese means 'viewing the sea'. Tourists can get an amazing view of the majestic Arabian Sea from this Beach. It lies adjoining the estuary of the river Mandovi as it opens into the Arabian sea.

There are plenty of food stalls along Miramar beach. They sell eatables like shev puri, bhel puri, pani puri, shawarma, cutlet 'pau'... all with a special goan twist. There is a small joggers park and a children's park at the beginning of Miramar Beach. Hawkers selling cheap clothes and balloons can easily be found at Miramar beach. Miramar Beach however is not a safe beach for swimming due to the strong undercurrents here. So it is advisable to avoid going into the water.

The beach shoreline runs parallel to the Miramar–Donapaul highway. Walking through this stretch you can feel the waves touch your feet and withdraw into the sea. Or you could sit on the sands in the evening and enjoy the moonlight while you let your eyes wander to the distant lighthouse.
