Alibag, close to the city of Mumbai has often been described as the playground of the famous and the rich. Alibag is a beach destination. It is very close to Mumbai, but it rarely becomes crowded here. That’s certainly a delight because too many beach resorts in India become extremely crowded, particularly in the peak holiday season or during the weekends. You will find many premium properties here as well. These are the main reason why so many rich and famous people select Alibag for their weekend breaks, as they slip away from their busy schedules for a day or two.
There is of course the Alibag beach here. But the good thing is that, there are plenty of other attractive beaches around Alibag as well. Take for instance Kihim. You are sure to fall in love instantly with Kihim. There are a lot of trees and almost zero construction work along the coast line. What you will find are groves, flowers and a lot of butterflies. The Kihim beach will certainly rank among the most pristine beaches anywhere in mainland India at least. But Kihim is not the only one. There are others too.
